Two
decades ago (1985) at a time when
Sri Lankans were benefiting from
the liberalized economy many opportunities
befell on the nation. Sri Lanka
is not an industrial country,
and is incapable of manufacturing
products on a mass scale at economical
cost. Importing was the best available
option that could cater the country
in terms of quantity, quality
and price. ROSHNI appeared
on the Sri Lankan import trade
scene at this time (1985) and

The
operations of the company commenced
in 1985 as a proprietorship style
under the name of “ ROSHNI
TRADE INTERNATIONAL ”.
The expansion in the business
and the company's intentions to
make the operations in corporate
philosophy resulted in the incorporation
of the company on 17 th July 1992
as a private company with limited
liability under the Companies
Act No.17 of 1982.
A lot of breakthroughs have been
achieved from then till today,
a period of 20 years over which
ROSHNI has emerged
as the undisputed leader with
access to major manufacturers,
trading houses in the SAARC region.
ROSHNI today
is a well-known importer who can
deliver the product meeting customer
requirements. |
